Free Event – How to manage an absent employee with a disability in accordance with the Equality Act

In this event we will talk about what to expect, how to manage it, when to seek advice and from whom.Corporate Health, in partnership with Owen White solicitors, have the pleasure in inviting you or a colleague to our first networking and HR community forum event on the 30th January in Slough, from 9am to 11am. This will be a great opportunity to firstly network amongst fellow HR peers as well as with a local specialist in discriminatory law and an Occupational Health specialist. During this open discussion, our team of experts, including you, will advise,
  • Discuss and strategise about key problems areas for HR concerning long term absence, including:
  • Did the law change when the Equality Act came into force in October 2010?
  • What is the legal definition of a disability?
  • What is “less favourable treatment”?
  • How reasonable do reasonable adjustments have to be?
  • What if the employer does not know of the employee’s disability?We are only inviting a hand-picked selection of HR personnel from within the local Thames Valley business community and we would be delighted if you could join us for this informal but invaluable two hour event.
