Announce New Medical Director Appointment


I am pleased to announce that Dr Nicola Cordell (MBChB MSc MRCGP FFOM DMCC ) Consultant in Occupational Medicine has joined our team at Corporate Health as Medical Director. Over 850 businesses across the UK who have already chosen to work with us will now benefit from Nikki’s experience and enthusiasm as we continue to develop and deliver Clear, Decisive, Commercially focussed Occupational Health services to UK business.

Nikki is an experienced consultant occupational physician employed by Corporate Health as the Medical Director, responsible for clinical delivery of services, delivery of clinical training and developing occupational health research within the organisation.

Nikki has specialist interests in physical and mental resilience, medical education and the use of digital technology in occupational health practice. She completed specialist training in 2004 while serving as a medical officer in the Armed Forces, having joined the Army as a general practitioner after completing her postgraduate training in the NHS in Scotland. She graduated in Medicine from the University of Glasgow in 1989. She has developed and delivered regional clinical occupational health services within the Armed Services and subsequently in independent specialist practice. She has an MSc in Medical Education with Cardiff University and has a special interest in the use of digital media in medical education. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, digital media editor for the Occupational Medicine journal and President Elect of the Occupational Medicine section of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is also an examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine specialist (MFOM) and Diploma examinations.

Passionate about the future of occupational medicine, Nikki has an interest in developing occupational health services and positively influencing organisations in adopting good occupational health practice not only in the UK, but worldwide. She represents the Society of Occupational Medicine on the European Union of Medical Specialists Occupational Medicine Section and leads the working group on Occupational Medicine training.

Nikki also a keen interest in health sector reform in developing countries and fragile states, which she gained significant experience in during her military service. She is an examiner for the Diploma in the Medical Care of Catastrophes, and is the Course Director for the Military Humanitarian and Stabilisation Operations Course for the Armed Forces.
