Bereavement is one of the most common factors affecting employees’ performance at work, with an estimated one in ten employees affected at any point in time .

Yet a recent report by the Dying Matters Coalition, together with the National Council for Palliative Care and the National Bereavement Alliance, has highlighted that bereaved people in Britain are being failed by a lack of support in the workplace.
